What: and afternoon of Lindy Hop & Collegiate Shag workshops for intermediate dancers

Pre-requisites: must have completed Lindy 2A to take the Lindy workshop, must be able to dance a Collegiate shag basic in open and closed to take the Collegiate Shag workshop

Schedule
12:30pm - doors open
1pm - Workshop 1 - Intermediate Lindy Hop
3pm - 30 min snack/rest break
3:30pm - Workshop 2 - Intermediate Collegiate Shag
5:30pm - dinner break
6:30pm - doors open for the dance
7pm - drop-in beginner lesson with RVA Swing staff (included)
8pm - DJ'd social dancing (included)

About the workshops
Workshop 1 - Intermediate Lindy Hop (1pm)
In this 2 hour workshop, Skyler & Erin will share some of their favorite Lindy Hop combos and give you tips & insights on how to improve your partner connection & connection to the music.
Students taking this workshop should already be socially dancing Lindy Hop regularly. You must be able to do a Lindy Phrase (3 swingouts & a circle), basic turns, tuck turns, yo-yos and other common Lindy Hop fundamentals (RVA Swing students: must have minimum completed Lindy 2A)

Workshop 2 - Intermediate Collegiate Shag (3:30pm)
Erin & Skyler will do a Collegiate Shag deep dive in this 2 hr workshop. As always, it is not just about moves! They will give you tools for partner communication, musicality and most importantly having FUN on the social floor.
Students taking this workshop should already be able to do a Collegiate Shag basic in both closed & open.
You can register for one or both workshops.
hey folks! Once again this fall, registrations are lagging behind our class minimum. If you plan to attend, make sure to register by Friday so we know if we have enough people to make it worthwhile for Erin & Skyler to drive down from DC.
If we hit our minimum, then walk-in registration will also be available at the door, space and role-balance permitting. Advance registration is always best!
