About the class:

If you're taking this class, you have learned a BUNCH of stuff over the last 3+ months at RVA Swing. Level 2C is about putting all of it together and building comfort & confidence with foundational movements before you enter our Level 3 Improver Topics class.

Important Level Stuff:

--Students taking this class must have completed both Lindy 2A and Lindy 2B.

--If you have only learned 6-count swing (what many ballroom studios refer to as "East Coast Swing") you must take our Intro to Swing unit before signing up for any Level 2 class, regardless of your level at your previous studio.

--If you're joining us from dancing/learning elsewhere, please contact us at RVAswing@gmail.com to discuss your prior experience before signing up for classes.

This class is a standard Rotating Partner class, and students will change partners throughout class.

About your instructors:

Cate Rauschenberger started ballroom dancing in Georgia in 2006, but it wasn't until 2014 that the music, community, and capacity for expression of lindy hop stole her heart.

She is passionate about the multi-directional aspect of communication in partner dancing-- the conversation between musicians and dancers through the music, between a couple and anyone observing them, and between the lead and follow themselves. She loves and strives for balanced connections, playful improvisation, and musically-inspired movement in her dancing.

As a teacher, she enjoys breaking things down, building them back up, and seeing those joyful, dance "aha!" moments.

Dylan Kilpatrick
is the newest addition to the RVA Swing teaching staff and he has so many cool things to share with you, but so far a bio isn't one of them. Does anyone really read these? You tell me!👀😂
